Bradley County Court Calendars Explained
Every division in the county keeps its own schedule. No master calendar covers them all. Circuit Civil, Criminal Court, General Sessions Civil and Criminal, Chancery, Juvenile, Cleveland Municipal, and Charleston City Court each run separately. The Circuit & Criminal Court Clerk page lists contacts for each division. It is the official starting point for Circuit and General Sessions settings. There is no consolidated public calendar for Chancery or Charleston matters either.
Have your case number ready and name the court. Ask for the "next scheduled setting" rather than a vague "when is court?" A docket call is not a plea. A motion hearing, a mediation, a status conference, and a trial are all different events. Clerk confirmation is the safest last step.
Bradley Juvenile Calendar Route
For juveniles, the official Bradley Juvenile Court calendar is the clearest county route. It embeds two calendars. It also lists Juvenile Center contacts. Remember that a public calendar does not open the whole juvenile file. Names, dependency facts, detention details, and child records may be restricted. The official source shows how Bradley County court dates are displayed.

The juvenile office must still confirm access and attendance rules for any setting.
Finding Your Court Date
A Bradley County court date lookup works best with the full case or citation number. Without it, gather the party name, filing year, case type, and division. A name alone can match more than one case.
- Identify the court on the notice or citation.
- Use the juvenile calendar or Cleveland portal only for that court.
- Call or visit the correct clerk with the case number and year.
- Check the current notice, posted docket, and counsel when represented.
- Confirm the date, time, room, event, and attendance rule.
AOC Public Case History covers state appeals, not ordinary Bradley trial cases. For trial settings, rely on the clerk counter, a phone call, your notice, or counsel.
Bradley Docket Days Need Care
The General Sessions page includes a "Docket Days" table, but the court labels those examples as fictional. Never treat the sample weekdays as real settings. The April 2023 local rules are better evidence of how the division runs, covering sessions, scheduling, continuances, trials, and remote participation. The court-managed General Sessions source appears below.

The clerk remains the source for an actual setting.
Key distinction: A docket-day example describes a process. It does not prove that a case is set that day.
How to Read a Court Setting
A setting is a scheduled event, not a ruling. Read the court and division first, then match the case number before trusting the date.
| Date | The scheduled day, subject to a later reset. |
|---|---|
| Time | A session start or individual time; confirm which. |
| Courtroom | The room and building for that division. |
| Judge | The assigned or presiding judicial officer. |
| Setting Type | Motion, plea, review, status, or trial. |
Bradley local rules mention Zoom and telephone participation, but no hearing is remote unless the court approves it. Get links and passcodes only from the court or a valid notice.
Bradley Courts Use Separate Buildings
Location matters with every Bradley County court date. Circuit Civil and General Sessions Civil commonly route through 155 North Ocoee Street. Adult Criminal and General Sessions Criminal use 2230 Blythe Avenue instead. Juvenile matters are heard at 1620 Johnson Boulevard.
| Matter | Calendar source | Confirm with |
|---|---|---|
| Circuit or Sessions | Notice or clerk docket | Division contact |
| Chancery | Notice | Clerk and Master |
| Juvenile | Embedded calendar | Juvenile office |
| Cleveland citation | City portal | Municipal clerk |
| Charleston city case | No public calendar found | City court clerk |
Note: Confirm the building and division on your current notice. Separate Bradley offices keep separate court calendars, so the address on your paperwork is the one to trust.
Continuances, Resets, and Cancellations
A continuance postpones a hearing, and a reset assigns a new one. Neither means the case was dismissed. Bradley local rules address continuances, but the procedure differs by division and case type. A request changes nothing until the court grants it.
Ask whether an order was entered, whether a new date exists, and whether the old setting was removed. Last-minute changes may lag on public displays. A missing event can also reflect restricted access. Keep the signed order or current notice with your case papers.
Cleveland Traffic Court Dates
Cleveland Municipal Court holds court on Thursdays. The location is the Police Service Center, 100 Church Street NE. Call the clerk at 423-559-3309 for the exact time. Payment is handled at the Municipal Building, a different site. Anyone contesting a citation or showing proof of insurance must appear under city instructions.
The official citation portal is not a calendar. It covers no Bradley Circuit, Criminal, Sessions, Chancery, or Juvenile Court settings. State criminal traffic charges may belong to a county criminal division. The Bradley traffic ticket record route explains the split.
Bradley Calendar Terms
Short calendar terms can hide an important distinction, so use the docket entry and the notice together.
- Setting
- A scheduled event, not a decision.
- Docket call
- A session when cases may be called, passed, or reset.
- Continuance
- A court-approved postponement.
- Disposition
- The recorded result, not an upcoming hearing.
- Remote participation
- Approved video or phone attendance for one setting.
A calendar can omit sealed matters and recent changes. It does not replace the full file, so use the Bradley County case lookup route and ask the clerk for the public docket.
If You Miss a Court Setting
Act promptly. Call the clerk for the court on your notice, give the case number, and ask what the docket shows. If you have a lawyer, contact counsel at once. Silence online does not mean nothing happened.
Missed a setting? A missed appearance can cause serious case-specific consequences, including a default or another court order.
Call the responsible Bradley clerk or counsel now and ask for the current status and lawful next step.
For a Cleveland citation, the city says a missed date leads to default judgment and a ten-day payment period before state referral.
Charleston keeps a separate clerk and posts no public court calendar. Call 423-336-1981 to confirm the time and place, and do not mistake the recreation calendar for a court calendar.
Bradley Division Contact Checklist
Who you call depends on which court owns the docket. Circuit Civil calendar questions go to Room 104 staff at 423-728-7214. For small claims and eviction settings, use 423-728-7265 instead. Circuit Criminal lists 423-728-7057. General Sessions Criminal lists 423-728-7050. Chancery and probate scheduling runs through the Clerk and Master at 423-728-7204. All of these offices serve Bradley County. But the right one is the court that actually owns your case.
Write a few things down before dialing. Note the court, the division, and the full case number. Add the party or case style, the filing year, the current setting, and the event type. Then ask the clerk to repeat the date, time, building, room, and attendance rule. If someone requested a reset, confirm whether the court entered an order. Also confirm whether the old setting still stands. A filed request is only a request until the court approves it.
Carry your current notice into court. Keep any signed order that comes later with it. If a hearing allows remote participation, use only the link and passcode issued for that setting. Local rules may allow video or phone appearances, but permission is case by case. These habits also help you tell a public calendar entry apart from a private notice that holds protected details.
Charleston Calendar Confirmation
Charleston runs its own city court. The clerk's office is the place to confirm a court date. The AOC directory lists City Court Clerk Janet Newport at P.O. Box 431 and 423-336-1981. Call that number to verify the court day and the exact time. Confirm the hearing location too. Ask about the case identifiers the office accepts. Ask too whether a current notice was mailed. The city's general office hours describe administration, not court sessions.
Skip the Charleston recreation calendar. It lists community activity, not judicial settings. And a missing online event does not mean no case exists. For Charleston municipal matters, a direct call to the clerk remains the Bradley County court date path.
